If you are looking for something different, quieter and away from the crowds, High Stanger is the place for you.
High Stanger Farm is a 17th century traditional working sheep farm in surroundings of outstanding natural beauty. It is midway between Lorton and the 'gem' town of Cockermouth, birthplace of William Wordsworth, and is within the Lake District National Park. It is conveniently situated for the Northern and Western fells, and the Solway Coast.
This is an area of exciting contrasts waiting to be explored. Bustling market towns, traditional villages, rugged fells, dramatic coastline, peaceful lakes, and interesting visitor attractions.
Whether you need a relaxing break, or an action packed holiday, this is what you are looking for.
Accommodation is in two family sized bedrooms, which can be doubles, twins or singles. There is an adjacent shower room/toilet.
A comfortable lounge has a television, and log fire for chilly days, and a seperate dining room is available for guests' use.
Children are very welcome, and a cot and high-chair are available. Reduced rates are available for children up to the age of 16 if sharing with two adults. Pets by arrangement.
