The lakes, coast, Hadrian's Wall, and the Scottish Borders are all within travelling distance for a day trip.
Pardshaw is a small village near the 'gem town' of Cockermouth - an ideal centre for activity holidays, or just time to relax. There are good local pubs serving excellent food and Jennings beer (brewed in Cockermouth).
